T atung started to manufacture electric motors in Taipei city in 1949. And built Taipei Sanshia Motor Plant in 1972, this motor plant is providing both domestic and overseas customers with high-quality, high-performance electric motors. In Taiwan, Tatung is the first one who won the “National QC Group Award”, the certificates of ABS and CR. Tatung products meet standards of T-Mark, NEMA, UL, CSA and CE. Tatung (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. , established in 1998, is a subsidiary of Tatung Company. It now has 780 employees, includes 16 Taiwanese supervisors and 27 design engineers . The total land area is 185,000 square meter. The building area 60,000 m 2 , includes 50,000 m 2 manufacture workshop and 10,000 m 2 office building. Currently Tatung Motors not only supply excellent products and services in Taiwan and China market, but also sell to USA, Japan, Australia, Europe and many other overseas customers.
